Structural Database of Allergenic Proteins

Alphabetical listing of allergens ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ

SDAP is a Web server that integrates a database of allergenic proteins with various bioinformatics tools for performing structural studies related to allergens and characterization of their epitopes.

The SDAP project is supported by grants from the National Institute of Health (2R56AI064913), the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency under a STAR Research Assistance Agreement (No. RD 834823), and the National Institute of Health (1RO1AI165866-01).

SDAP Computational Tools
  • FAO/WHO Allergenicity Test — evaluate potential allergenicity using the FAO/WHO decision tree
  • FASTA Search — search your protein with FASTA against all SDAP allergens
  • Peptide Match — search your epitope for exact matches in all SDAP allergens
  • Peptide Similarity — search your epitope for similar regions in all SDAP allergens using the original PD sequence similarity index
  • Peptide–Protein PD Index — compute the PD sequence similarity index for two sequences provided by the user
  • For any epitope in SDAP, search for exact matches in the PIR (Protein Information Resources) database
  • For any epitope in SDAP, search for similar regions in all SDAP allergens using the PD sequence similarity index
  • FASTA@SDAP: select an SDAP allergen and find similar sequences from SDAP
  • BLAST@ExPASy: select an SDAP allergen and find similar sequences in SwissProt and other databases from the ExPASy proteomics server
